Description

Note: Weather conditions can drastically vary the speed and difficulty of your trip. Please plan accordingly.

The kayak rentals are by the hour. They are clear, flat bottomed kayaks. For rates go to Wolastoq Adventures - Prices. They are a bit hard to control but in the day time its interesting to see through them. The real magic is after dark. At night they are wrapped in led lights.

Getting ready to launch a lit up kayak at Wolastoq Adventures

With the kayaks you can explore the shore on either side of the river. The river is 500 metres across so can be quite exposed when its windy. Another option is to explore the mouth of the Nashwaaksis Stream. To get to it go across the river and go right. If you are really ambitious you can paddle up to the islands to the left. They are about 2 kilometres from the rental place. At night you will see the Westmorland Street bridge lit up downriver to the right.
