Restigouche River
River Reports
0.85 to 0.79 metres
(Restigouche River at Kedgwick River)
Rob says, "We ran from England Flats to Matapedia in kayaks (12/13'.) Most would say too low. Had to walk kayaks 2-3 times about 20' over a shoal, BUT the rapids were actually surprisingly fun. A few where with more water there is little fun. Chamberlain a great drop in low water. Mocklers disappointing. A nice rip a few KM above rafting grounds and another .5km below. If you're looking for fun, it's 'usually' river left and for Chamberlain dead centre is your big drop. Far left to miss it :(
0.95 metres
(Restigouche River at Kedgwick River)
Dwight C. says, "We put in the Restigouche at Downs Gulch on July 22/2012 and motored down to Red Bank. A few bumps along the way but not too bad if you're careful. Water level at the site below Kedgwick river was 0.95 and dropping. Got some rain on the 24th but level didn't rise until the 25th. Coming back up was okay, (didn't have to get out of the boat but had to pick your route wisely). Not the best level if you don't want any scrapes or bumps, but manageable."
