Miramichi River Valley Region
Map
The Miramichi River is a historic salmon fishing river that has several tributaries. These tributaries all begin in the wilderness in the center of the province, and flow east into the Northumberland Strait. The region also has many lakes in the wilderness to the west of the City of Miramichi, like Guaguas Lake.
As the river passes through the City of Miramichi it provides lots of shoreline and history to explore like Beaubears Island National Historic Site.
