Description

Note: Weather conditions can drastically vary the speed and difficulty of your trip. Please plan accordingly.

Roulston Lake is a small lake in the centre of a nature park in Plaster Rock. The lake is well protected from the surrounding trees. A great place to get the family out for a quick paddle before venturing out on bigger adventures. Go through the gardens and turn left to get to the dock and the small shed where they have rentals. Paddle along the shore and you may find loons or other ducks. In the boggier areas you may find some frogs.

There is a large pavillion next to the lake that makes a great place to have a picnic if it is not being used for an event. If you wanted to take a walk, you can find Sadlers Nature Trail on either side of the parking lot that will take you around the lake. There are other trails that take you deeper into the woods.

Directions

From the corner of Route 108 and Main Street (Route 109), drive towards Perth-Andover for 170 metres and turn right into the Tourist Centre, Campground and Roulston Lake. Drive into the parking lot, keep to the left, and continue on this short gravel road (150 metres) to Roulston Lake. You can park here and continue through the garden to the lake. The Pavillion is on the right and the boat rentals are in a shed to the left. If no one is around you can go back to the campground office that you passed on the way in and ask them about it.
